Tanzania: Beer Firm Supports Barley Farmers with Quality Seeds

IN its bid to support the agricultural sector, Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) has distributed barley seeds to farmers in Manyara and Kilimanjaro regions.The seeds have been distributed under the company's Local Raw Material Initiative where 4,000 tonnes of barley seeds would be distributed to barley farmers this year. Kenya Set to Brand Coffee Produce

Tourism and Agriculture to Drive Growth - World Bank

Tanzania seals new tax deal with mining firms

The Tanzanian government has signed an agreement with mining companies operating in the country.The agreement sets new terms for royalty payments, scrapping the 15 per cent value-added tax (VAT) relief and increasing the fees companies pay for services they get in the mining areas.
