Tea farmers to get second bonus pay of Sh36.26 per kilo

 Small holder tea farmers under the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) will now get a bonus of Sh36.26 per kilo of green leaf as the second payment for the financial year 2015/2016.   This brings the total bonus payment to the farmers for the full year to Sh50.26 per kilo after an initial payment of Sh14 per kilo. Kenya to invest Sh20bn in agriculture over five years

Volkswagen to start assembling cars in Kenya

 Volkswagen has signed a deal to use the Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers in Thika to assemble its popular models beginning with the Volkswagen Vivo.   The first fully Kenya assembled Vivo is expected to roll out of the Thika plant by December this year.   Making the announcement Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta said the plant will then expand into a fully fledged assembly operation producing a range of vehicle.... Local Vehicle Assembly to restart with Renault introducing its first cheap locally assembled vehicle
