South Africa s Scaw Metals to open US$40 million grinding plant in East Africa

 According to the Ghana Herald, the plant is expected to become fully operational in 18 months. It will have the capacity to grind 50,000 metric tonnes of metals per annum. Scaw Metals produces chrome forged grinding media that are used in gold and copper industries. The company set up its regional sales office in Tema in 2011, which serves as its hub in West Africa. Unilever to build a US$90 million factory in Africa

Tanzania s trade share in EAC increases

Firm injects Sh2.2b into Mombasa garments factory

 Mombasa Apparels EPZ factory commenced operations last week.
