Tanzania hopes to generate 2000 megawatts from natural gas in the next three years as the country hopes to increase its power generation capacity to 10,000 megawatts by 2025. East Africa: Inter-Country Oil Transportation pipeline construction deal worth U.S.$2b signed

Ethiopia and Djibouti pipeline construction deal worth U.S.$2b has been signed a move that is expected to boost oil transportation between the two countries. The contractors assigned for the mega project; Black Rhino Group and Mining Oil & Gas Services (MOGS) are supposed to raise at least US$ 1bn to finance the construction. Tanzania Inaugurates China Funded Gas Pipeline

Tanzania on Saturday officially inaugurated a 535-kilometer China funded gas pipeline, reported Xinhua. The pipeline built with a $1.33-billion concessional loan from the Export-Import Bank of China transports natural gas from Tanzania's southern region of Mtwara to Dar es Salaam.
