East Africa's largest solar PV project to begin construction in Uganda

Access Energy Group and EREN RE, developers, owners and operators of power projects in emerging markets, on February 17th, 2016 announced that construction of the largest solar project in East Africa will begin next month. Kenya leads list of most infrastructure projects in East Africa in the last year

Kenya had the highest number of infrastructure deals in East Africa last year on the back of mega real estate projects and the standard gauge railway, says a report by financial consultancy Deloitte.   The Africa Construction Trends report 2015 says that there were some 61 reported infrastructure projects in the region worth Sh5.9 trillion ($57.5 billion), an amount nearly equivalent to the size of Kenya’s gross domestic.... East Africa: Renaissance dam to be a souce of Energy once it meets the finish line

 Ethiopia has announced that it will continue with the construction of the Renaissance Dam to its completion. The country’s minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy, Motuma Mekasa has told the media that there is no reason to halt the construction of the dam.   Mekasa denied accusations that Ethiopia was derailing talks on the dam construction. Actis to finance the construction of warehouses in Africa

 Actis, a property developer based in South Africa plans to invest $200 million in the construction of warehouses in Zambia. Actis has since identified and shown interest in Zambia and considers the country an attractive investment destination especially due to its demand for imported products. Road construction in African Nation Blantyre to begin

Quantum Power to construct gas storage facility in Africa

 Quantum Power and Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) have signed an agreement for the construction and operation of the Liquefied Natural Gas storage facility in Ghana. The facility will be constructed at Tema.   The Tema LNG project will receive, store, regasify and deliver, about 3.40 million tons of LNG per annum.
