Tanzania: Coast Steel Plant Promised Electricity

Pime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has directed the electricity contractor at the Kiluwa Steel Group factory in Coast Region to connect the industry to reliable electricity within 18 days, so that it kicks off operations immediately. Fruits and tea exports from Kenya on the rise as trade volumes shrink by 3pc

3D printing is now at the heart of lifesaving surgery

For the first time in Kenya, doctors at Kenyatta National Hospital managed to separate conjoined twins. This was one of the first such operations successfully done at a hospital in sub-Saharan Africa (see another one here), and it was possible in part because of 3D printing.
