In order to provide project assistance, logistics, and services close to its customers, the company runs 30 production facilities throughout 25 nations. The localisation of the commercial company is reportedly made possible by the recently constructed 3,500 m² facility in Nairobi, Kenya.
There, closures for the food and beverage and lubricant industries will be made and exported to ten African nations.
In addition to operating in South Africa, BERICAP has made an investment in another factory in Africa. The closure company that BERICAP purchased was a branch of Nampak, a business with which BERICAP has shared technology for the South African market since 1998.
In March 2024, the Durban production facility commenced operations under the name BERICAP South Africa (PTY) LTD. The whole range of BERICAP closures, in addition to those made locally, will be marketed in South Africa and its adjacent nations by BERICAP South Africa.
In an effort to use less virgin plastic, BERICAP and TotalEnergies Lubrifiants worked together earlier this year to add 50% post-consumer recycled plastic to a closure for 20-liter lubricant packaging. By adding a "high-performing" booster to mechanically recycled polyethylene, BERICAP hopes to achieve performance comparable to that of virgin materials. The raw material is sourced from TotalEnergies' RE:clic series of circular polymers.
