"Cytonn Towers" Development to add to Nairobi's Skyline

A new 35-floor project is being developed in the Kilmani area in Kenya. Project developers Cytonn Real Estate is touting, this newest development as an “Iconic mixed-use development project”.
The “Cytonn Towers” will be constructed at the junction of Egeyo Marakwet and Argwings Kodhek Roads, on a four-acre piece of land. In totality, the project is expected to cost as much as US$194m.
Cytonn Managing Partner and CEO, Mr. Edwin Dande, confirmed the news, while also revealing that the project will have 35 floors and include 174,139 square feet offices and commercial spaces.
The Cytonn Towers will include 160 serviced apartments, 180 hotel rooms, three-bedroom duplex apartments, penthouse suites, and three basement parking floors with enough room to fit 1,500 vehicles.
The Cytonn Towers are expected to be the tallest building in the area and will also boast the largest ballroom in Nairobi, the highest suspended restaurant in the country and a double horizon fitness club, according to the developers.
While speaking about the project, Mr. Dande said that the Cytonn towers, being a mixed-use project will aim to fuse luxury housing demands, premier business office spaces and hotel and conferencing facilities. Target returns of 25 percent per annum will also be offered to investors.
The construction itself will be done in phases. Construction activities will commence in Q4 of 2018 and are expected to finish by December 2022.
This announcement comes hot on the heels of another major announcement a few months prior. That being ground-breaking of the Africa’s tallest tower in Upper Hill, Nairobi, called “Hass Towers”.
Cytonn Towers will be the newest addition to Cytonn Real Estate’s extensive portfolio, with projects including Amara Ridge, The Alma, Taraji Heights, Situ Village, The Ridge, River Run Estates, and Newtown; all these projects chalking up to US$800m in worth.
