Tesvolt has been allocated the contract to build the worldwide largest off-grid-battery-system to deal with the energy loss in much needed water pumps in Rwanda. For the dedication and innovative mindset to promote the mission of clean energy while supporting agricultural projects Tesvolt is the perfect candidate for the Global Leading RES Seal.

 

To counter the power stoppage occurring up to four times a day between 5 and 45 minutes Tesvolt will be joining forces with the international project planner EPC IdeemaSun to install a decentralized off-grid storage system with a total capacity of 2.68 megawatt-hours.

 

The battery system and a 3.3 MW solar power station will improve the living conditions of around 2,000 farmers, who currently live in extreme poverty. Many African countries suffer from instability due to inner conflicts and poverty, which results in a lack of infrastructure. Where we can help: Creating awareness about the importance of access to electricity needs as well as the stabilization of electricity supply.

 

Projects like the Tesvolt Off-Grid-Battery-System do exactly that and are therefore important to be recognized. “Our battery storage systems are providing safe electricity from renewable energies for regions stretching from the equator to the polar circle. In the light of this background the Global Leading RES Award means a lot to us – it shows that we are on the right track to advance a climate friendly energy provision,” said Tesvolt-CEO Daniel Hannemann.

 

The German CleanTech Institute (DCTI) in close collaboration with the market- and research company EuPD Research, the International Battery & Energy Storage Alliance (IBESA) and Joint Forces for Solar (JF4S) choose companies for the Global Leading RES (Renewable Energy Systems) Award. The goal of the award is to honor outstanding photovoltaic- and energy storage-projects and generate awareness in society. To match the huge diversity of the projects the categories First Mover, Tech Driver, Innovative Application, Unique Location und Largest Project were initiated.
