Japan will capitalise on the upcoming Ticad conference in Nairobi to increase its share of the country’s trade and development projects, the Japan International Cooperation Agency has said. JICA (Kenya) chief representative Keiko Sano yesterday said more than 100 Japanese companies will take part in the August 27-28 Tokyo International Conference on African Development, where they will scout for business opportunities in Kenya. “It will provide an opportunity for exhibition and engagement where we expect some deals to be made.It is not for Japan only but for all participants,” Sano said. She said the conference will focus on industrialisation, manufacturing and health, with emphasis on the private sector.
