In a country like India where even talking about menstruation is a taboo, some women silently go through the pain, some pop chemically-loaded pills while others blend whatever is available in the kitchen to cope with it. In today rsquo;s modern world, many companies are coming forward with solutions for it. But they either lack concern-driven conscious effort or miss out on being consumer-oriented, making menstruators still long for something substantial. p p Thanks to our founder, Preksha Chopra, Welme was born. Her idea brought alive India rsquo;s first scientifically-proven, clinically-tested, wearable and rapid period pain-relief device. Her current focus is on building a brand that challenges societal stigma around menstruation with a device that is driven by the widely recognised TENS-therapy. It is designed and developed to relieve period cramps through drugs and chemical-free, simple and hassle-free solution. p p With many feathers in her cap, Preksha pursued her Masters in Fashion Management before joining Camex Wellness as a Business Development Manager. Multifaceted and multi-talented as she is, Preksha rsquo;s expertise and experience in the industry of body pain management devices based on TENS technology conceived a groundbreaking idea - Why not use this widely used, scientifically-proven and drug-free technology for treating menstrual pain? This idea began the journey of Welme, a clinically-tested period pain-relief device. p p After countless hours with her R amp;D and Design team, Preksha managed to incorporate the smart TENS technology into a pocket-size, fashionable and wearable device. The perfectionist that she is, she tried using this device herself and that is when the magic happened. She experienced positive results and decided to share this newly invented device with her female friends, family members and employees. Today, she takes pride in her revolutionary idea that is here to transform lives, enabling menstruators of all age groups liberate from period-pain and get relief at ease. p
