NAIROBI, KENYA: Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers (KVM) has stepped up the assembly of Hyundai light trucks for CICA Motors, the distributor for Kenya. To meet the demand for three and five tonne trucks.

The assembly of Hyundai light trucks by KVM commenced early in 2012 after an intensive training programme, followed by checks and tests by KVM quality controllers and trainers from Korea. Technical audit teams from Hyundai Motor Company visit Kenya periodically to carry out detailed inspections of the locally built trucks. This includes computerized wheel alignment and brake checks and extensive road tests.
